
Client Preparation
At Brow Refinery, the health and integrity of your natural lashes and brows is always our top priority. Every service is performed with care and attention to maintaining the condition of your natural hairs while creating soft, refined results designed to enhance your features — never compromise them.
Below are some important preparation and aftercare guidelines designed to help keep you safe, comfortable and properly prepared for your procedure.
Please advise prior to booking if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, using prescription skin treatments or have any skin sensitivities, irritation or recent procedures near the brow area.
Brow Lamination Preparation
Clients are asked to refrain from the below before their brow lamination and/or wax appointment:
• Retinol, Retin-A or exfoliating products around the brow area for 5–7 days prior
• Brow tinting, bleaching or self-tanner near the brows for 48 hours prior
• Waxing, threading or tweezing the brow area before your appointment
• Excessive sun exposure or sunburn near the brow area
• Chemical peels, facials or strong exfoliation treatments for at least 1 week prior
• Applying heavy makeup or oils to the brow area on the day of your appointment
• Arriving with laminated brows less than 8 weeks from your previous service
Lash Preparation Before Lash Extension Application
• Please arrive with clean lashes and no eye makeup
• Avoid mascara for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment
• Refrain from using oil-based products around the eyes before your service
• Remove contact lenses prior to your appointment if possible
• Avoid caffeine immediately before your appointment, as it may make it harder to relax during application
• Please arrive on time to allow for a proper consultation and lash preparation
• Avoid curling your natural lashes on the day of your appointment
• If you have had a lash lift or previous extensions, please advise prior to booking
Please notify your Lash Artist of any eye sensitivities, allergies, irritation or recent eye procedures before your appointment.
Wax Preparation
Below are some important preparation guidelines designed to help keep your skin safe, comfortable and properly prepared for your waxing appointment.
• Please avoid retinol, Retin-A, Accutane, prescription acne treatments or exfoliating products near the treatment area for 5–7 days prior
• Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning or sunburn before your appointment
• Do not wax, tweeze or use hair removal creams on the area prior to your service
• Please advise your artist of any skin sensitivities, allergies, recent cosmetic procedures or medications before your appointment
• Avoid chemical peels, facials or strong exfoliation treatments on the area for at least 1 week prior
• Skin should be clean and free of heavy makeup, oils or skincare products on the day of your appointment
The health and integrity of your skin is always our top priority. If there are any concerns regarding skin sensitivity or safety, your service may need to be adjusted or postponed.
